Safran renewed the global framework agreement (GFA) on corporate social responsibility

  • On 4 December 2023, Safran announced the renewal of the global framework agreement (GFA) on corporate social responsibility (CSR) with the global union federation IndustriALL Global Union.

The global framework agreement ensures that the same standards are met in all countries where the Company operates, as it applies to all Safran companies worldwide.

The agreement also includes principles of ethical business conduct, both with customers and suppliers.

The renewed agreement confirms and reinforces commitments already taken in 2017 to combat climate change and protect the environment.

The Company undertakes to comply with the ILO Conventions mentioned in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work on collective negotiation, forced labour, discrimination and health and safety at work.

Further commitments include an employee-focused human resources policy and the development and enhancement of skills.

Other priorities for the group remain to create a positive working environment that promotes employee well-being, diversity, fairness, and inclusion.

Finally, the parties have committed to maintaining a fruitful social dialogue to respect the principles of collective bargaining and the right to freedom of association.

The global monitoring committee will continue to evaluate how the commitments made in the agreement are being implemented.

Olivier Andriès, CEO of Safran, commented: “Safran has renewed its global framework agreement with IndustriALL Global Union, demonstrating our commitment to providing equitable working conditions, promoting diversity and gender equality, and following ethical business practices. We are pursuing implementation of our CSR strategy hand in hand with all employees, confirming our determination to have a positive influence on the societal and environmental changes taking place around the world.”
