The Austrian Bitpanda company introduces an unlimited “Annual Leave” policy

  • Digital investment platform Bitpanda enhanced its benefits policy, aiming to offer freedom and flexibility to its employees.
  • Everyone will receive the same benefits, regardless of their role, level, or position.

From 1 April 2022, it became the first Austrian company of its size to offer unlimited, fully-paid annual leave.

Moreover, it introduced two fully-paid “Recharge Breaks” per year, during which the whole company will effectively close down: these collective breaks granted to the entire team assure people can fully disconnect. If people cannot take time off during the set Recharge Breaks,  they will be entitled to time off in lieu at a later date.

The “Work from Anywhere” policy allows people to work from a location of their choice for up to 60 working days per year, even if people working from other countries need to make sure that 80% of their daily working time overlaps with the rest of their team.

Employees will also have the ability, on an annual basis, to spend around 50% of their time working at their local talent hub (located in Vienna (HQ), Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Bucharest, Dublin, Krakow, London, Madrid, Milan and Zurich) and the remaining 50% working from home.

Bitpanda also introduced a 20-weeks fully paid parental leave policy for all new parents, reflecting its commitment to inclusivity and diversity in our workplace.
