  • On February 2023, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) released a report assessing the framework for the impact evaluation of active labour market policies (ALMPs) in Finland.
  • It covers the whole cycle of evidence-based policymaking from strategy and planning of evaluations, resources, data collection, and evaluation methodologies to disseminating evidence and uses in policymaking.

European Commission takes action on the transposition of the Whistleblower Protection Directive

  • Most of European Member States failed to transpose the EU Whistleblowing Directive within the established deadline of December 2021.
  • European Commission already sent a formal notice to 24 Members for the lack of transposition and to Sweden and Portugal for their delay in the application.

Finland: New Cooperation Act

  • On 1 January 2022 entered into force the New Cooperation Act concerning consultations between employers and employees.
  • It aims to facilitate open dialogue in the workplace and to create a framework for the development of the company and the work community.
