Morocco: The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) offers a unique service to its members

  • A new “corridor” is established with the National Social Security institution to better support CGEM members on specific problems related to social security

The CGEM signed a partnership agreement with the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) which aims to “support business leaders in the processing of their social security folders and formulate proposals for integrating the informal sector into the formal economy”. Through the CGEM-CNSS Corridor, the two institutions strengthened their cooperation and allowed CGEM to better meet the needs of its members, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, and enabled the CNSS to get closer to businesses as well as combat informality.

Concretely, this “CGEM-CNSS Corridor” will provide affiliated companies with “the necessary assistance to guarantee fluid and efficient communication, ensure the mobilization of the appropriate interlocutors and promote consultation in order to dispel any misunderstandings”. This will particularly apply to “electronic services, the resolution of difficult individual situations where allowances are blocked; and mediation for the settlement of debts of companies with financial difficulties”.

The CGEM considers this as a first initiative aiming at the creation of corridors with different administrations and providing services which give concrete support to its members.
