American Staffing Industry and Retail Industry Team up

  • Two key industries help placement of workers during the Covid-19 pandemic

The American Staffing Association (ASA) and the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) presented an innovative solution to address the demand for retail workers in essential businesses in the US.

RILA is the US trade association for leading retailers: it includes more than 200 retailers, product manufacturers, and service suppliers.

Through an online searchable directory, ASA member staffing agencies are now connected to RILA member retailers to fill high-demand roles, such as warehouse workers, store clerks, cashiers, greeters, forklift selectors, pickers and delivery drivers.

The directory is available on the ASA website and RILA Covid-19 resources for retailers website.

“ASA is proud to work together with RILA as part of the staffing industry’s commitment to ensuring that America has access to a skilled flexible workforce to support the uninterrupted flow of essential goods and services during this unprecedented time of challenge to our nation and our world”, said Richard Wahlquist, ASA president and CEO.
